Bonaffini Art Exhibit

Artist Michael Bonaffini’s oil-based landscapes and home paintings are currently on exhibit at the Stratford Library, and include the holiday-themed, Northern Lights at Christmas as well as Humpback Whale Breaching off the Coast.
The exhibit of original oil paintings by Derby artist Michael Bonaffini, entitled“Nature’s Beauty”, is free and open to the public.
Bonaffini focuses on personal and commissioned oil-based landscapes and home paintings. When faced with a health challenge that changed the course of his life, he began his painting journey inspired by the beauty of nature that is all around. As Bonaffini says, “From the adversity I faced in my life was birthed a new love and talent for painting. During my years of dialysis, I found a passion for painting. In addition to helping me through long hours of rest, illness and the inability to work, I realized how much peace it gave me to put my inspirations on canvas. When I was sick, this was my escape.”
The exhibit, entitled “Nature’s Beauty” and located in the main lobby of the Stratford Library, will continue through January 31, 2022. Viewing hours are Monday-Thursday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday-Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday: 1-5 p.m. For further information: call 203.385.4162.
