Opening Reception is Monday, January 17th
Arts Alliance of Stratford
Our first show and sale of the year will celebrate local Black artists and creatives in the community.
“With Sterling House’s celebration of Martin Luther King Day, upcoming Black History month, and with a firm belief that Black Art Matters, we’re excited to showcase Black artists. More than a dozen pieces representing various creative disciplines including painting, photography, digital art, and more will be on exhibit, and their work is for sale.” said Mark Hannon, President.
Alliance long-time supporter and member, Willie Scaife has curated the show. Scaife is a fine art painter specializing in abstract art and multimedia.
“In celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the show opens on Monday, January 17th with a reception from 5-7 P.M. at our gallery space at Sterling House,” Hannon said, “The show is a great opportunity for the community to celebrate an American icon, and meet and greet local Black artists.”
There will be strict CDC mask adherence and social distancing rules in place while inside the gallery for the duration of the show that runs through Saturday, February 18th.
