Stratford High School Football

Stratford won its second consecutive game Friday night, defeating Bridgeport Central 34-6 at Penders Field.

Stratford has won two consecutive games for the first time since the 2017 season. The Red Devils snapped a 16-game losing streak last week against Law.

Now the Red Devils head into their bye week at 2-2. It’s a chance to heal up some injuries before facing SWC-rival Pomperaug on Oct. 15th.

Bridgeport Central knows plenty about Stratford’s predicament: the Hilltoppers (0-4) are in the midst of the state’s longest losing streak that now stands at 25 games.

Jayquan Kirkland caught a pair of touchdown passes for Stratford.

Played of the Game:  Tristen Pena, Stratford: Had a game-high 164 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries for Stratford.
