Dear Neighbor,

Tis’ the season for itchy throats, sweaters some days, rain boots others, and incessant reminders to get your flu shot! Here’s another…the Stratford Health Department will host a series of flu clinics over the next few weeks. Please check out our announcements section for more details.

In honor of your health, my hope for you this week is that you rest, especially if you attended the Latin Music Festival held at Stratford High School. Please take a read of Luz’s article, en Espanol (in Spanish) about La Importancia del Descanso (the Importance of Rest).

In this week’s issue, Jim’s column, Talking Transportation, explores the disturbing ‘what ifs’ of $10/gallon gas. In happier news, yesterday kicked off Restaurant Week and it concludes this Saturday, September 26th! I hope you will try Open Door Tea or Tasty Yolk on Paradise Green when you come to the Gather on the Green Fall Festival on Saturday, September 26th. Let’s Celebrate Stratford together!
