State Representative Phil Young (D), 120th Connecticut House District announced on Friday that the Connecticut Summer at the Museum program is returning for the 2022 summer season.
Starting Friday, July 1, all children and one accompanying adult will receive free admission to over 90 museums across Connecticut. This program will be offered through September 6th to all Connecticut children, ages 18 and under.

This is a great opportunity for parents and guardians who are looking for a family friendly activity during the hot summer months. Please click here for a complete list of participating locations.

The Stratford Library, 2203 Main Street in Stratford, CT will be closed on Monday, July 4th, 2022 in observance of Independence Day. The library will reopen on Tuesday, July 5th at 10 am. Current library hours are: Monday – Thursday: 10 am – 8 pm and Friday & Saturday: 10-5 p.m. For further Library information, call 203.385.4161 or visit its website at: www.stratfordlibrary.org.

In consideration of the July 4th Holiday, all Town offices will be closed on Monday, July 4th. Those with business to transact with Town offices should plan accordingly. There will be NO refuse, recycling or yard waste collection on Monday, July 4th in observance of the Fourth of July. All routes will be collected one day late with Friday’s route to be picked up on Saturday. The Transfer Station on Watson Boulevard will be CLOSED on July 4th .

Readers Theatre Summer Showcase 2022, sponsored by the Stratford Library and Square One Theatre Company. On Wednesday, July 6th, “Chapatti”, a romance by Christian O’Reilly will be presented beginning at 7 p.m. in the Lovell Room. All plays are recommended for adult audiences and titles are subject to change. The readings are free and reservations will not be accepted. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for general seating only, first-come, first-served. Masks are optional but recommended.
