Holiday At the Homestead: December 6th through 16th. The Historic Boothe Homestead at Boothe Memorial Park, 5800 Main Street, will be decked out in its finest splendor to celebrate the holidays.  Many of the buildings will be beautifully decorated for the holidays with the proceeds benefitting our school program.  The Homestead will be decorated in a Victorian theme, and there will be over 20 –  3 foot decorated trees available for a silent auction.  The trees were donated to Stratford non-profits who have decorated them for the auction.  The hours for the tours, and for bidding on the decorated Christmas trees are: Saturday, December 14th and Sunday, December 15th from 2-5 p.m.; Monday, December 16th, 6:30-8 p.m.  The cost is $5.  Children under 12 are free. Saturday, December 14th, 10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M., Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Bridgeport, 275 Huntington Road, Stratford.  Holiday Cookie Café.  There will be containers of different sizes.  You pick a tin which is priced with a label, fill the container.  After you pay you keep the cookies and the tin.

Saturday, December 14th at 12:00 Noon, Stratford Historical Society Garden Club Meeting, Stratford Historical Society, 967 Academy Hill

Saturday December 14th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Putney Chapel Association will have an open house with live music by Dr. Joe Utterback.

Sunday, December 15th at 2 P.M., Stratford Library, The New England Guitar Society. Performed live in the Lovell Room.  Seating is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis.  Seating begins 30 minutes prior to start time.  Free and Open to the Public

Sunday, December 15th The Holiday 5K Run/Walk For Toys, start time varies with age group beginning at 7:45 a.m.  Host: The LITTLE PUB of Stratford, 10 Washington Parkway

Wednesday, December 18th Letter to Santa deadline at Sterling Community center.  Kids can write their own letters on their own paper, or use the letter form available at the front desk at Sterling Community Center, 2283 Main Street.  Drop the finished letter in one of the mailboxes on the front porch, and you’ll receive a postcard back from Santa! HO! HO! HO!
