Art Exhibit: CONNECTICUT HISTORY
January – February
On display through February are original paintings by Milford artist Robert Sforza, detailing the state’s history in oil, watercolor and more.

Discussion: MONDAY MORNING BUZZ!
Monday, January 8, from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Drop in to hear what’s new, what’s hot, and what books are creating a buzz. Adult Reference staffers will lead an informal discussion of books, movies and more with input from you! Share what you’re reading and hear recommendations from others.

Monday Matinees: “BARBIE”
Monday, January 8, from 12– 2 p.m.
Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster comedy with heart stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as the iconic Barbie and Ken.

Little Gems Book Discussion: A MONTH IN THE COUNTRY
Wednesday, January 10, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
In this little gem, Tom Birkin, a young veteran of WWI, is suffering from the war and from a broken marriage. Reference Librarian Susan Lohr leads the discussion. Copies of the book are available at the Checkout Desk.

Tuesday, January 16, at 7 p.m.
A nostalgic musical journey through the most iconic and greatest era of rock-and-roll history with author and pop culture historian Marty Gitlin. Rare video performances will be shared.

Join historian David Wright as he explores the many stories that make Stratford’s history.

Books Over Coffee: YELLOWFACE
Wednesday, January 31, at Noon
F.R. Kuang’s current bestseller, which grapples with questions of diversity, racism and cultural appropriation, will be the topic of discussion, led by Linda LiDestri. Coffee/tea is served.
