Stratford Library Teen Events in August

Camp Crafts: 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.
Camp dates: 8/1, 8/5 and 8/8: No registration required; while supplies last.
Grades 7-13; Location: Teen Department.
Camp out in the teen space with friends this summer and try something new or share your skills and talents with others. Drop in during craft open hours to paint, create sand art, and more.
Teen Tuesday: Open Craft Hour: 6:00-7:30 P.M.
8/6: No registration required
Grades 7-13; Location: Lovell Room.
Make your own glass bead or message bracelets, try sharpie painted personalized plates, or create your own mini-art masterpiece w/ acrylics. Of course there will be snacks & music because it is a Teen Tuesday!
Teen Tuesday: Fandom Mini Con: 3-7 P.M.
8/13: No Registration required
Grades 7-13: Location: Lovell Room
Teens: Get ready to embrace your inner fandoms at our Fandom Mini Con! We’ll have Japanese snack taste testing; henna art by Jamilah; fandom trivia; a cosplay contest (come dressed as your best character!); geeky crafts; and to end the event, a Smash Bros. tourney!
After Hours Nerf Party: 7:45-9:30 P.M.
8/20: No latecomers admitted; registration required as well as a parental permission slip, which must be handed in to stay & play
Grades 7-13: Location: Lovell Room
NOTE: This event ends after hours. Make arrangements ahead of time to be picked up–on time–in the back parking lot
Treasure seekers join the hunt! We’ve hidden gold in the stacks & it’s up to each team to work together to find the biggest hoard. Bring your own Nerf blaster or borrow one of ours. For safety: blasters cannot hold more than 6 darts at a time, cannot use “Nerf Rival Balls” & cannot be oversized.
