Stratford Library Kids Events in February

Winter Storytimes

10:30 A.M.
Registration is required

Mondays, Toddler Time for ages 0-2

Tuesdays, Preschool for ages 3-5

Thursdays, Baby Lapsit for babies 0-18 months.

Friday Fun offers stories and songs for ages 2-5. (No storytime on Feb 17).

Painting Class: Impressionism

Monday, February 3 at 4 P.M.

Ages 8-13.

Registration is required

We will be discussing a few major impressionist artists. Then create your own impressionist-inspired work of art. No experience necessary, although participants should be comfortable with using paints. This program is sponsored by a grant from Westport Library, courtesy of the staff and Roz & Bud Siegel.

Read To a Therapy Dog

Saturday, February 8 from 11:00-11:45 A.M.

Ages 6-12

Registration is required

The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer a chance for children to read to a therapy dog. Each child receives a fifteen minute turn with Ollie the Shih Tzu. Signups are on a first come, first served basis.

Kids Lego Robotics Club

Thanks to a grant from the Stratford Rotary Club, the Library now owns a LEGO Spike Essential kit, which combines LEGO building with some coding fun! This program will meet in the Children’s Program Room.

Book Scientists Kits

Ages 3-12

Registration is required

Each kit includes books and activities. Books are selected based on the age of the child participating. February’s themes will be Friendship (February 14) and Royalty (February 28). Return the Library books when they are due and keep everything else!.
