Bethlehem House, a transitional home for homeless families, will hold its annual fundraiser on Saturday, September 27th beginning at 6 p.m. in St. Mark’s School Gymnasium. The fundraiser is reasonably priced, homemade food (think upscale church potluck for a dinner buffet) and entertainment.
Individual Registration: $35
Registration for Two: $50
RSVP: https://www.ccfairfield.org/event/classics/
Frank Mastrone, who performs on Broadway, will provide musical entertainment with classics from the Great White Way, American songbook, and pop favorites. There will be raffles and door prizes!
In addition to supporting Bethlehem House with their mission and programs, there will be a celebration of retiring Advisory Council Chair Paul Kurmay (after more than 25 years), who was the inspiration and driving motivation behind Bethlehem House. Without Paul Kurmay there would not be a Bethlehem House.

I want to personally invite you to the 25th anniversary celebration for Bethlehem House (I and II), transitional homes for homeless families right here in Stratford, which is now run by Catholic Charities (CC). We originally purchased and renovated these homes 25 years ago as a local non-profit, but eventually turned over the operation to CC, which had greater resources than our own. Hundreds of homeless families have been assisted over the years; it is one of the few transitional homes in the area which cater only to families.” Advisory Council Chair Paul Kurmay.
Bethlehem House is a permanent supportive housing program for families with low income and have experienced homelessness, and supports residents with transportation assistance, household supplies and referrals.
In addition to CC, Bethlehem House collaborates with Stratford Community Services and the Stratford Clergy Association. Community Development block grants provide funding and skilled volunteers improve and maintain the 120 year-old houses.
