Tomorrow: The Town of Stratford will Host Stratford Patriot Voices, a Community Celebration to Echo the Words Spoken throughout History in Honor of the 250th Anniversary
What: Tomorrow, the Town of Stratford will host Stratford Patriot Voices, a community celebration honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States. The Town has invited federal, state, local and community leaders, students and residents to highlight and broadcast the words that have defined who we are as a nation since 1776. Words that have resonated in the hearts and minds of Americans for generations. The Town will provide excerpts from meaningful speeches and writings throughout our nation’s history that have helped shape America and invites everyone to take turns reading an excerpt at the ceremony. Reading selections will include the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Federalist Papers, among others. The ceremony will be live-streamed and shared on Facebook and YouTube. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own reading materials, if they wish.
