Open auditions in Stamford for Beautiful: The Carole King Musical

The 51st Season in The Kweskin Theatre (Stamford) kicks off with this Tony and Grammy award-winning musical following Carole King’s inspiring journey. Curtain Call, Stamford’s longest-running, award-winning and only year-round producing theatre, is holding open auditions for this, their first musical of the new season.

Director – George H. Croom, Musical Director – Clay Zambo and choreographer – Kelly Nayden, are seeking a large, diverse cast for this Tony and Grammy award-winning show which follows Carole King’s inspiring journey from teenage songwriter to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Auditions will be held June 5th and 6th, at the Kweskin Theatre at the Sterling Farms Theatre Complex, 1349 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, from 7 p.m. to approximately 10 p.m.

If unable to attend auditions, a self-tape audition is acceptable. Casting all roles. Full details are available at www.curtaincallinc.com/auditions. Especially seeking Black performers for the roles of Little Eva, The Shirelles and The Drifters. Non-union actors only.

“I’m really excited to be the first theatre in the area presenting this great show,” said Curtain Call executive director, Lou Ursone. “The music is phenomenal and the story is terrific – a great show for a large cast to work on and enjoy,” he added.
