Stratford Library Live Music Program Set for Zoom on July 18th

The Stratford Library will present an online music program, on Sunday, July 18th at 2 pm. “Women in Music: Folk, Rock, Soul & Blues” with singer/songwriter Kirsten Thien and musician Eric Boyd will be presented online by the Library via Zoom. The concert is free and open to the public.
A fun and informative live music program about the impact of women on music in America from their musical contributions to their struggle for equal pay and recognition. Kirsten Thien covers the early innovators and pioneers, as well as contemporary stars of today. She also shares some of her personal journey as a professional touring and recording musician. Part concert, history and folklore, Kirsten is accompanied by Eric Boyd on bass and guitar for the concert.
Kirsten Thien has released five studio albums and toured the USA, Canada and Europe extensively. Her most recent release, “Two Sides”, has enjoyed worldwide radio airplay and held a top 5 position on the Root Music Report Blues Charts for over three months.
Erik Boyd is a musician, writer and producer. He has toured, recorded, or played bass with Hubert Sumlin, The Mamas & The Papas, Black 47, Mary Wells, Baby Wants Candy and many more. Thien and Boyd are a musical couple currently living in New York City.
