The Stratford Library will present a series of holiday concerts on consecutive Sunday afternoons, and one special evening, live in the Library’s Lovell Room. Seasonal favorites are on the program for the series.

Sunday, December 3rd, 2 p.m.: The Larry Haddad Quartet will kick it off. Stratford’s Haddad will be joined by Michael Nunno (Milford), Joseph McWilliams (Seymour) and Joseph Corsello (Stamford) to perform several favorite holiday songs with their lyrical interpretations.

Sunday, December 10th, 2 p.m.: The New England Guitar Society (NEGS) was established to create a nurturing environment for classical guitarists to meet, share ideas, perform, compose, teach and grow as musicians. The NEGS’ goal is to increase the public interest in classical guitar, to ultimately create future players and new audiences. The Society was conceived in 2004 by guitarists James Baird, president, and Cem Duruöz, artistic director.

Monday, December 11th, 6:30 p.m.: Stratford’s popular Sister Cities Chorus will make an appearance, with a selection of seasonal standards. For over thirty years the Sister Cities Chorus has been sharing music and culture with five other Stratfords of the world. Members have traveled to these other countries, and in turn hosted members of their choruses. The group is a multi-generational, mixed voice, community ensemble, open to anyone of any background who loves to sing.

Sunday, December 17th, 2 p.m.: The series concludes with A Broadway Christmas with Claire Kaiser. The Stratford vocalist and actress is a “mezzo-soprano with belt” who will perform holiday music with a Broadway beat. Accompanied by David Childs on the piano, Kaiser promises holiday cheer and fun for the whole family.
