Dr. David Chess will be the featured guest speaker. Dr. Chess is publisher of the Stratford Crier, a weekly online publication dedicated to providing unbiased local news, which is so critical to maintaining a healthy democracy. In addition, he is founder of the Stratford Volunteer Corps (SVC), created to support greater community interaction. SVC matches volunteers with a variety of organizations needing their help. A current focus is on the Stratford school system, where the need for tutors, mentors and general classroom assistance is growing.
His talk will be followed by a League-led discussion of Early Voting and the April 2nd Presidential Primary: What We Know and What We Don’t.Â

If time allows, the general meeting will be followed by a brief Steering Committee meeting.
