Dear Neighbor,
This spring season, you may be asking yourself what makes a neighborhood? Some may argue amenities such as fabulous stores for shopping downtown, or coffee shops or good restaurants that fill your soul and your belly. Others may say what “makes a town” is a good, robust library, and a bookstore with something for everyone, while still others may say well-maintained museums and activities for kids to do.
Whatever your “it” is, I invite you to read my article about the proposed town budget and the mayor’s recent comments about the schools and the proposed budget cuts to the library. With the upcoming proposed budget vote slated for May, it’s important that your voice is heard. There is a public forum tonight at 6pm.
Here are a few gems in this issue I hope you will spend some time reading this week: A Sound Mind, A Century of Flying (honoring American Airlines 100th Birthday), Announcements from Sterling Community Center, All It Takes Is Three Minutes, and so much more!
Wishing you all a week filled with neighborly goodness!
