Saturday June 8th from 5-7p.m. Boothe Memorial Park and Museum will be celebrating the 32nd anniversary of its award-winning Rose Garden. (rain date is Sunday June 9th). Light appetizers and wine, The Macs Harbor String Band will be performing. Tickets cost $20 at the door. We encourage guests to come in Kentucky Derby style attire. Sunday, June 9th , 1 p.m. Second Anniversary at Unitarian Universalist Church
275 Huntington Road, Steve Johnson, Garden Planner and Advisor will present “Nurturing Our Living Landscapes” Tour our garden, enjoy music, snacks and more… share slides of your own Pollinator Pathways Garden. To get the slide sharing format, email [email protected] by June 9th .

Monday, June 10th, 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Holy Name food pantry, sponsored by the Connecticut Food Bank, the Stratford Department of Health, and the YMCA cars are asked to line up on College Street. You are also asked to bring your own reusable bag. There will be 1 bag per household distributed. Please bring identification if a second household is in the car.

Monday, June 10th, noon at the Stratford Library Lovell Room. Summer film series kicks off with MAESTRO. Bradley Cooper directs, co-writes and stars as Leonard Bernstein in this powerful biopic about the legendary conductor’s complicated relationship with his wife, Felicia (Carey Mulligan). R, 129 minutes

Film Festival“GREAT MOVIES YOU MISSED!”, June 17-21, noon in the Lovell Room. The Library’s 16th annual festival celebrates a series of critically acclaimed films that somehow fell under the radar. Schedule includes: “Anatomy of a Fall” (6.17), “All of Us Strangers” (6.18), “The Zone of Interest” (6.19), “Love Lies Bleeding” (6.20) and “American Fiction” (6.21). Films are recommended for adult audiences. Free and open to the public.
