Saturday, November 5th: South End Community Center will have a Donation Drive Thru on Saturday, November 5th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sunday, November 6th: Stratford Library “Sunday Afternoon Talks”, with Stratford’s Frances Y. Evan, author of “Vera’s Story: Hidden Scars of War”. The talk will be presented live in the Library’s Lovell Room. It is free and open to the public from 2-3:30 p.m.

Monday, the Paradise Green Farmer’s Market Back Better Than Ever!! Connecticut Grown and Made.

Wednesday, November 9th at the Baldwin Center: Poli’s Palace & Majestic Theatres Memories Project at the Baldwin Center Gallery. The opening of the exhibit will be held on November 9th, and the event will run from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The Memories Project brings to life the two magnificent dormant theatres of the Poli Palace and Majestic Theatre. The exhibit looks to complement the stunning architectural photos of the two theatres which encompass the true beauty of the structures while simultaneously highlighting the complexity of the architectural work itself.

Friday, November 11th Stratford Library Closed for Veterans Day: The Stratford Library, will be closed on Friday, November 11th for the Veterans Day holiday. The library will reopen on Saturday, November 12th at 10 a.m.

Saturday November 12th from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Stratford’s “Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day” is free of charge to Stratford residents. A valid Stratford resident sticker must be presented at the entrance prior to off- loading materials. To obtain a resident sticker prior to the event, please contact the Stratford Recreation Department at 468 Birdseye Street or via phone at (203) 385-4052

Bunnell High School Post Prom Committee will be conducting a Clothing Drive fund raising event Saturday and Sunday November 12th and 13th from 9 a.m. to noon in the Bunnell High School Parking Lot. The Clothing Drive will be accepting clothing, shoes, and home textiles. A complete list is available.

Stratford YMCA and Bridgeport Islanders toiletry drive. All fans who donate are entered to win a Bridgeport Islanders puck and 4 tickets to a Bridgeport Islanders game of their choice.

Sterling House Community Cares Socktober: Drop off new socks at Sterling House Community Center to benefit the homeless.

Sterling House Community Center still in need of food donations for their food bank.
