State Senator Jason Perillo (R-Shelton) Represents Connecticut’s 21st District (Stratford, Seymour, Shelton, and Monroe)

Dear Neighbor,

State Senator Jason Perillo (R-Shelton) voted in favor of legislation that would increase Special Education funding to $92.2 Million. Sen. Perillo stressed the importance of fully funding special education while staying within our state’s budgetary guardrails to ensure fiscal responsibility.

“Funding for special education is an incredible need for Connecticut, and funding is dire for our communities. The plan we proposed would double the proposed funding for special education while still abiding by our state’s fiscal guardrails. This is a win-win for everyone involved,” said Sen. Perillo.

“We can fully fund special education within the budget guardrails, protecting both the economy and taxpayers. Pushing for funding outside these limits is irresponsible and threatens our economy, risking higher taxes for Connecticut residents. Special Education deserves support, and with this plan, can be fully funded while still being done responsibly to ensure long-term financial stability,” said Senator Perillo.

Senator Jason Perillo Supports the Judicial Nomination of Kevin Kelly

State Senator Jason Perillo (R-Shelton) voted in support of nominating former Sen. Kevin Kelly to be a judge of the superior court.

“I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work alongside former Senator Kevin Kelly for many years in our district. Kevin Kelly is the epitome of honesty, integrity, and fairness, I am lucky to have worked with him at the State Capitol and to call him a friend. I have the utmost faith in this nomination and thank former Sen. Kelly for his years of service to the 21st State Senate District,” said Senator Perillo.

Sen. Perillo was elected this February to represent the 21st State Senate District, formerly represented by Sen. Kelly, comprising of Shelton, Seymour, Stratford, and Monroe.
