The Stratford YMCA was awarded federal funding of $1.3 million that will go toward the redevelopment of the Stratford YMCA, U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-3) announced this week.

The funding is part of more than $16 million secured in Community Project Funding for 14 projects in the state’s Third Congressional District.

“The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA is extremely appreciative of the support and advocacy from Congresswoman DeLauro. This funding will ultimately allow the greater Stratford community to offer an expanded range of programs and services. Congresswoman DeLauro has been a longtime champion in the efforts to make the lives of Connecticut residents better. The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA applauds her and is thrilled at this terrific news.” – Timothy Bartlett, President and Chief Executive Officer of Central Connecticut Coast YMCA
