Dear Neighbor,
What a winter it has been…18 inches of snow…maybe 10 inches or more? Please take some time to review the blizzard suggestions posted by the Stratford Police Department on their Facebook Page. Also, if you’re not on the e-mailing list, sign up for Stratford News and Announcements at mayor@townofstratford.com for info about how the Town will be handling the storm, and tips on being prepared in your household.
This blizzard will not steal my summertime daydreaming joy. As I think about the warmer weather, I am excited to share the recent announcement from the Stratford YMCA about their new swim program for 2nd graders, in partnership with the Stratford Board of Education.
This week, Andy reports on the Center School construction project with both clarification and news as to what comes next for the space. I hope you take some time and read Luz’s final installment of Encontrando Tu Camino – Parte 3. It’s here in English and in Spanish. Also in this week’s issue, Dr. Seigerman of Bridgeport Hospital shares how his team is helping stroke patients.
Stay safe, neighbors! Cozy up, take a look at a few of our past issues in the Stratford Crier, and be sure to review the meeting schedule of Erin McLaughlin, Manager of Community Development and Neighborhood Association. Share your ideas, dreams and goals for Stratford with your neighbors and friends.
Be well, stay warm, and let’s all be the best neighbors we can!

P.S. It’s Official! The Stratford Crier will now publish on Monday mornings! You’ll still have plenty of time to plan for the week (and weekend) ahead with our calendar of local activities, and you can enjoy the news and articles that continue to inform and entertain you. We’re committed to serving up news that matters to you!
