Arrest Made in the Murder on Woodstock Avenue

The Stratford Police Department arrested 22-year-old Robert Kopasz on Tuesday, April 28th, for the murder of Paul T. Balzarano, 43, who was murdered in his home on Woodstock Avenue on April 4, 2026.

Kopasz is being held on a $1.5 million dollars bond and charged with: murder by firearm, illegal possession of an assault weapon without a certificate, illegal violation of fire rate enhancement (machine gun), illegal possession of a high-capacity magazine, and unlawful discharge of a firearm according, to the press release.
