Closing Your Summer Garden
Q&A and Talk by Lee Ganim, The Garden Guy
Thursday, October 19th at 7 p.m.
Our Lady of Peace Church Parish Hall
Free and Open To The Public
Sponsored by Lordship Improvement Association’s (LIA) Environmental Committee

The Lordship Improvement Association’s (LIA) Environmental Committee invites you to a free lecture with Lee Ganim – the Garden Guy, of Ganim’s Garden Center and Sunday mornings on WICC – about how to close your garden for winter, thinking ahead to spring.

In 1938, John Ganim opened a simple fruit stand called Ganim’s Outdoor Market. The fruit stand evolved slowly as John added seasonal flowers, fall fruits and pumpkins, and then Christmas trees to his product line. For thirty years John Ganim supplied quality fruit and seasonal items to his customers. In 1969 John and his son Lee moved the business to its present location in Fairfield in order to meet the demands of this now premier garden center.

Lee is now retired, but his radio show which started 9 years ago as a Public Service Announcement (PSA), wanted to share his knowledge and expertise with the public. You can listen Lee’s show, The Garden Guy, on WICC 660 Sunday mornings at 8 a.m.

Get a head start on spring, and, come to the presentation with questions! (www.LordshipCT.org)
