David Coller in Concert
Saturday, October 14th, 7:00-9:00 P.M.
Unitarian Universalist Church, 275 Huntington Road, Stratford
$15.00 at the door
David Coller has been writing and performing in the folk genre since his teens, which, he will tell you, means a VERY long time ago.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from the University of Southern California before moving on to the east coast and a career in the medical world but continued to play in bands, duos and as a solo performer in southern California and after that, Connecticut, until being waylaid by a wooden boat (if you’ve ever owned one you understand) and then, on the cusp of a re-emergence, by COVID purgatory (we’ve all been there, haven’t we?)
He is now playing out again, mainly in New England, but with the odd foray to the west coast. He brings with him a variety of new songs: straight-up folk, jazzy tunes with the feel of standards, a bit of bluegrass, some sea-songs and a cowboy tune or two, performed on the guitar, banjo, and the odd bit of button accordion. He now resides in the last rural smidgeon of Hamden.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit local Literacy Programs.
There is handicap parking and a stairlift at the rear of the church.
