Super Mario Promotes Flu Shots for Kids

The Stratford Health Department is excited to announce its Super Mario-themed Flu Vaccination Clinic for kids, an engaging event designed to make getting a flu shot a fun and less intimidating experience.

Staying healthy is a family affair. While the event is primarily focused on children, parents and guardians are encouraged to receive their flu shots alongside their little ones in order protect the whole family.

Andrea Boissevain, Health Director of the Stratford Health Department, shared her excitement about the upcoming clinic. “Our Mario-themed Flu Clinic for kids emphasizes our commitment to making health services accessible and enjoyable for our community. We believe that by combining healthcare with fun experiences, we can promote healthy habits from a young age.”

Kristina Agapito, RN, Public Health Nursing Supervisor, added, “Preventing the flu is especially important this year, and we want to make the vaccination process as easy and enjoyable as possible for both parents and their children. Our child-focused clinic is just one of the fun ways we’re working to keep our community healthy.”

This clinic is not the only effort the Stratford Health Department is making to protect our community during flu season. The Stratford Health Department has scheduled additional flu clinics for the public throughout the fall of 2023, with dates on October 20th, October 24th, November 2nd, November 9th, November 16th, and November 28th. Please note that appointments will be required for all clinics in November to ensure a smooth and efficient vaccination process.
