Dear Reader,

Have you really spent time with each of your five senses? I ask this question, and hope that you consider it. What does it truly mean to touch, feel, smell, hear, and taste? Sure, another way of saying this is: Am I present enough? That’s a good question to ask yourself: am I present enough?

In this week’s issue of our beloved Stratford Crier, the articles you read will consider these very questions. In Norah’s essay, she navigates the idea of touch, square inside of the Dollar Tree. In my essay this week, I will take you on a journey with me into the home of local residents, Michael Todd Cohen and Adrian Dallas Frandle, partners in work and in life. You will quickly discover, how present they are for guests they welcome into their home in Lordship.

This issues focuses very much on how we take our personal experiences, whether they are personal in a public space or they are private, like in our own homes, and we invite the public to take the journey with us, being present for the seemingly mundane and even for the most unexpected, like in the guest essay by Luz Maiuri.

Here’s to being present, and allowing all five of your senses to help you discover or even rediscover parts of yourself in this very issue.
