Dear Neighbor,

This week, we honor our Emergency Medical Service staff and volunteers with an article from Michael Loiz, Director of Emergency Medical Service here in Stratford. His article this week reminds us how lucky we are to have such dedicated people who choose to show up for us whenever we call. I hope you will read it!

As we head into the weekend, and Memorial Day parades and gatherings, I wanted to share that our typical Monday issue will arrive in your inbox on Wednesday, May 27th instead. Do keep your eyes peeled for a Memorial Day special issue appearing on SUNDAY!

Have a wonderful kick-off to the summer season, but please take a few moments to think of those who, over decades and generations, have given their time and in many instances their lives for the ideas and ideals our country was founded on. Let’s not allow their time and lives to be given in vain. We’re all in this life together.
