Saturday, July 15th: Neighborhood Breakfast at Stratford United Methodist Church, free community breakfast 8:30-10:00 a.m. on the 3rd Saturday of each month: July 15th and August 19th.  They offer hot food and community for those in need.  Enter through the back of the church.  Enjoy a meal and visit the thrift shop, which has affordable clothing, toys, and household items.

Monday July 17th, Paradise Green Farmer’s Market, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Vegetables, fruits, food, crafts, non-profits, come one come all!

Monday, July 17th “The Birth of Rock and Roll: Songs That Defined an Era” will take place in the Stratford Library Lovell Room from 7-8 p.m.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m.  General seating.  This entertaining and enlightening visual program will take music lovers back to one of the greatest musical eras in American history. Rare video presentations of such artists as Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Fats Domino, Buddy Holly, Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis and Bo Diddley will be shown with commentary by author and pop culture historian Marty Gitlin.

Stratford Community Conversations, Wednesday, July 19th, at Sterling House Community Center.  The fifth edition of Stratford Community Conversations will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Sterling House Community Center

Saturday, July 22nd, Grill and Chill sponsored by First Congregational Church of Stratford.  Movie “ Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”, Burgers, Hot Dogs, all welcome.  Rain or Shine (if it rains all activities will move into church hall.)  Reservations are suggested. Countdown to Blues on the Beach!  8 more days for the return of our annual “Blues on the Beach” summer music festival, which has become an increasingly popular summer ritual for Stratford.  The event will take place at Short Beach on Saturday, July 22nd, from 12:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m
