Friday, May 10TH, 7:00 to 9:00 PM. SONG CIRCLE at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 275 Huntington Road, Stratford.  Look for the Peace Pole in the front yard. You know how we roll…We take turns going around the circle, leading or suggesting a song. Bring a few songs to share or an instrument if you play one. Listeners welcome too! Invite a friend or two  There is a chairlift entrance at the back of the building and a unisex bathroom with grab bars. Masks are welcome but not required.

Saturday, May 11th Stratford Marching Band and Color Guard can and bottle drive. Eli Whitney bus circle, 9 a.m. to noon.

Saturday, May 11th, Bikes and Beer, Beginning at 8 a.m., 4th Annual Bikes & Beers STRATFORD features a 15, 30 and 45-Mile ride departing from TWO ROADS BREWING and traveling through Connecticut. All rides feature morning fuel stations, fully marked routes, GPS turn-by-turn instruction, rest stops, refreshments, ride marshals, and SAG support. Finish back at TWO ROADS for a festival of rewarding craft beers, live music, charity raffle & much more! All riding levels welcome! Benefitting our charity partners.

Sunday, May 12th at 2 P.M., Lovell Room, Stratford Library, Free and open to the public.  The Stratford Library welcomes back representatives and their “friends” from The Reptile Nook of Springfield, Massachusetts.

Monday, May 13th   from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Holy Name of Jesus Food Pantry. The food pantry is sponsored by the Connecticut Food Bank, the Stratford Department of Health, and the YMCA.  The Food Bank takes place on every other Monday, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and they are asking that cars line up on College Street.  You are also asked to bring your own reusable bag.  There will be 1 bag per household distributed.  Please bring identification if a second household is in the car.

Veterans Breakfast on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. The annual event, which has provided breakfast for more than 1,500 veterans since 2012, is scheduled to start at 9 a.m., and will be held at Vazzano’s Four Seasons in Stratford. There is no charge for veterans or their guest, who will receive a full traditional breakfast.
