Night Safety Event

Boothe Memorial Rail Society Museum

Saturday, February 17th from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

The Stratford Safe Night Safety Program has been a huge success.  Over 300 people registered for the reflective safety kits.  The Stratford Safe Night Safety Program held eight distribution events and distributed 200 reflective safety kits to the citizens of Stratford.

Walkers, joggers, bike riders, and everyone on the streets need to be seen by motor vehicles. The Stratford Safe Night Safety Program was created to encourage pedestrian visibility and night safety town-wide and we hope the use of the kits and following the best practices continues.

Kits were purchased with the support of local businesses, Little Pub, Surfside Hotel, and Stratford Rotary.

The program was publicized in the Mayors Weekly Newsletter, and the Stratford Crier, it was featured on News12 CT in an on-site segment with Frank Recchia.

The Winter 2023 distribution program is now closed.  Funds will be needed to underwrite the purchase of the reflective kits to continue the program in Winter 2024.  If you are a business interested in working with us please go to:

Promotion is necessary. Many people were unaware of the program.  At this point in time we do not have acknowledgement/involvement from Stratford Police, Fire, EMS. More distribution events and sites are needed, especially if we are to add bike reflectors to the kits.

Please consider us for funding and promotion!

Thank you for all of you who have stepped up to the plate to get this program started – now let’s work to keep it going!  https://stratfordsafe.com/
