Shakespeare Renaissance Faire

Sunday, October 23rd from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The American Shakespeare State Park at 1850 Elm Street

Step back in time and enjoy the second Shakespeare Renaissance Faire on Sunday, October 23rd on the grounds of the American Shakespeare State Park.  There will be live performances, fantastic food, a variety of vendors, and games galore.

King, Queen or pauper you are welcome to step back in time and join the fun!  Jester, Jouster, or just looking for a day out, you are welcome to be a part of New England’s last Renaissance Festival of the season!

Brace yourself for a roaring roster of live performers, games, and vendors!  Expect a raucous day of fun with a beautiful view of the Housatonic River and the Long Island Sound.  Talk a short walk and you can see the same view that European settlers saw when they came to shore in 1639!

Celtic Magic

Daniel Green Wolf & Bella bring a show that promises Stunning Celtic Magic, Strange Irish Wit, and Possible Hot Fiery Doomity Death! Most recently voted Best Comedian by Connecticut Magazine, Daniel has opened for International Irish Rock Group “Enter the Haggis”, has appeared on AMC’s hit limited series “Dispatches from Elsewhere” with Jason Segal and Sally Field, and performs at festivals and theatres all over the US.

  The Bawdy Buccaneers 

Arrr you ready for a good time! Join Captain Lance D. Boyle & First Mate Truly Scrumptious as they take you on a piratical musical comedy journey. Sing along to Piratical favorite tunes and perhaps learn some new songs as well. Learn how to be a Pirate during their Pirate 101 musical set.

This melodic musical duo encourages audience participation mixing comedy and music, a Piratical/Renaissance Sonny & Cher if you will. Their shows are Family Friendly and perfect for children of all ages.

They will put a smile on your face and a song in your heart and you might catch yourself humming a sea faring song throughout the day.

Sasanach

Keith 0Engle plays traditional Irish fiddle music, focusing on the music of an isolated region of Ireland called Sliabh Luachra. He has been playing for over 20 years, and travels to Ireland frequently to immerse himself in the style and perform.

He has performed at the World Fiddle Day Scartaglin festival and Scully’s Fest in County Cork, as well as at numerous Historical Heritage, Celtic, Renaissance, and Steampunk festivals from Boston to New Orleans.

Thyme Awaye

Thyme Awaye’s tone, and the music that accompanies her, make her songs haunting and leave a lasting impression on the audience. She aims to keep the Celtic Folk Music tradition alive.

The Brotherhood of the Knights of Gore

The Brotherhood Knights of Gore provides fun and entertainment as they don full plate armor and beat the living daylights out of each other in an unrehearsed, no holds-barred, medieval battle.
