YEAR OF THE DRAGON GRAB ‘N’ GO
Celebrate the Year of the Dragon with this G ‘N’ G kit!  Pick-up begins Friday, February 9th at 3 p.m. in the Teen Department. For Grades 6-12.  Each kit will contain a lucky fortune card; some sweet treats; and a dragon surprise!  No registration required. First come; first served.

SUPER BOWL PARTY
Are you ready for the Super Bowl? Come join us for some football fun. Represent your team by wearing some cool swag. We will have snacks, games & good energy. Let’s go, don’t fumble the invite! No registration required.  Friday, February 9th from 3:00 p.m.- 4:30 p.m., Lovell Room, Grades 6-12.

Teen: RESUMÉ PREP
Monday – Friday, February 12th – 16th from 2:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m.  Summer job opportunities are coming soon. Are you ready to apply for your first job? Drop by the Teen Department and we will help you take your school, community and volunteer experiences and turn them into a solid first resumé. No registration required. Grades 6-12

ANTI-VALENTINE’S DAY PARTY

Love Stinks! Refuse to celebrate Valentine’s Day with food, games, crafts, and your friends. No registration required.  Tuesday, February 13th, at 3:30 p.m in the Lovell Room.  Grades 6-12

uCreate: TINKERCAD 101

Thursday, February 16th at 6:30 p.m.in the library Board Room for Grades 6 – Adults.  Meet Tinkercad, the easy-to-use, browser-based 3D modeling tool that can turn your ideas into 3D-printable objects! uCreate volunteers will lead an interactive demonstration and walk you through creating your very first 3D model. Use one of the Library’s Chromebooks, or bring your own laptop or tablet. Open to: grade 6 – adult. Registration required.

Teen: JOB APPLICATIONS 101
Tuesday, February 20th from 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Must be 16 years old to apply, library Board Room.

The time has come to begin applying for summer job opportunities. Are you prepared to land that job? Come learn tips on successfully completing an application. You will be completing the application for Stratford Recreation Department summer opportunities. (Recommended-bring your resumé) No registration required. 

PAINT & SIP

Thursday, February 22nd at 4:00 p.m. for grades 6-12 in the Lovell Room.  Calling all artists! We will provide canvas, easels, paints, oil pastels & brushes, plus hot chocolate, tea, & treats so you can sip while you bring your masterpiece to life. No registration; while supplies last.

ANIME CLUB
Monday, February 26 at 3:30 p.m.in the Board Room for grades 6-12.  Watch the latest anime while enjoying Japanese snacks! No registration required.

uCreate: MICROBIT MANIA!

Thursday  February 29th Part 1 (6-6:45 p.m.): Meet Microbit.

Part 2 (6:45-7:30 p.m.): Make with Microbit.

Microbit is a pocket-sized computer that can be anything from a fitness tracker to a miniature gaming console. New to Microbit, or need a refresher? Join us for Part 1 to learn the basics. Stay for Part 2 to put your knowledge to the test and tackle more complex—and fun!–programming projects. Registration required. Open to: grade 6 – adult. Meeting to be in library Board Room.
