URGENT UPDATE – 150 Oronoque Lane

Share

From:  Carl A. Glad

Town Council Representative (Eighth District)

Dear Neighbor,

I hope this email finds you well.  I am writing today to make you aware of another inappropriate development proposed for our neighborhood.

On January 29th, the Stratford Zoning Commission will hold a hearing on a proposed SIX STORY, 60 UNIT development to be placed on .86 acres at 150 Oronoque Lane.  The property is currently home to a single-family home.

The developers want to change the zoning from residential to what they call the “Oronoque Affordable Housing District” so that they can change the characteristics of our neighborhood.

As you know, in December the town approved new zoning regulations.  These developers want to change the rules less than a month later to suit their needs.  They are using affordable housing rules in a predatory manner.

I urge you to attend the JANUARY 29, 2025 hearing at 6:00PM in the Town Council Chambers at Town Hall.

If you cannot attend, please respond by email or call (202) 277- 4684 so that I can provide you with a petition to sign.

Regards,

Carl A. Glad

Our Town Council Representative (Eighth District)
