Sterling House Community Center Welcomes New Events Manager
Emily Shufrin brings a wealth of experience in non-profit development work and is excited to share that knowledge with Sterling House Community Center (SHCC) as she hits the ground running in this position. As CEO of Connecticut Development Resources, Emily has dedicated a significant portion of her efforts to event organization and execution for area organizations.
Her experience lies with hosting galas, seated dinner fundraisers, and concerts, as well as small-scale and more intimate events. Prior to staying home with her children, she worked as a grant writer for the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford. There, in direction and collaboration of the larger development team, she supported golf tournaments, galas, and a variety of collegiate panel discussions.
Emily holds a graduate degree from Trinity College in Hartford and undergraduate degree from Central Connecticut State University. She lives in Trumbull with her husband David and two sons, Noah and Ethan.
