Dear Readers,
One week ago, our community came together to bear witness to the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. In this week’s issue, you can learn more about the MLK Day event. There is quite a bit to be hopeful about right here in Stratford. You can learn more about organizations in need and explore ways you can get involved in our new column, Helping Hands and Helping Hearts. If you know of an organization in need, please reach out to Andy with more information. You can find Andy’s contact information here and get to know our contributors, whom you hear from weekly.
We are very excited to welcome the Director of Stratford’s EMS, Michael Loiz as our newest monthly contributor. In his article this week, he shares with you dear reader, why ambulances do (or do not) use their sirens. He also reminds us to Save the Date and be sure to attend Stratford EMS’s Annual Open House on May 16th for fun, food, and festive activities.
Calling Stratford home is a gift, and in this issue we are reminded by this week’s contributor, Pat Patusky, that it does not take much to turn “compassion into action.”
