Dear Neighbor,
Food is an essential part of our town’s livelihood. Did you know we have over 100 restaurants in Stratford? From Jamaican to Thai to Vietnamese to Italian, from sit-down to take-out, you can find almost anything not far from your home.
In Luz’s article this week, she talks about fasting in the spiritual sense, as Christians head into the Lenten season. At the Mayor’s Ball for All, eight area restaurants donated their time and food, indulging the palettes of the youngest and oldest among us, from Caribbean Fusion to American Barbecue to Italian food, we began celebrating Restaurant Week two days early (at the Mayor’s Ball).
Restaurant Week kicks off today, March 2nd through March 8th. In late January, a Thai restaurant opened on Barnum Avenue. Billed as “The Thai place Stratford needed,” by Phillip on Yelp. The restaurant Phillip is talking about in his review is called Queen Bee. Tell us, have you tried it?
