On Saturday, November 11th, Stratford will have their inaugural Veterans Day Parade. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. from Stratford Town Hall, traveling south on Main Street. The parade will conclude at the annual Veterans Day ceremony at Academy Hill, which is hosted by Stratford’s VFW Post 9460. Main Street will be closed from Barnum Avenue to Academy Hill from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Saturday, November 11th from 9 a.m. to noon at the Eli Whitney Bus Loop. Bunnell Stratford Marching Band and Color Guard can and bottle drive. You don’t even have to get out of your car!!! Support our renowned marching band and color guard.

Saturday, November 11th, St. James Christmas Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 70 vendors, food, and Santa.

Saturday, November 11th, from 8:30 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. First Congregational Church, 2301 Main St. annual tag sale. Items for purchase include holiday décor; toys and games; china and glasses; linens; kitchenware; garden tools; decorative bathroom items; pictures; lamps; books, both for children and adults; and CDs and DVDs. Please help support this wonderful event!

Saturday, November 11th from 7-9 p.m. Unitarian Universalist Church, Comedy headliners coming to Stratford for a night of laugh out loud entertainment. Hosted by Vicki Sanches, with comedians Mat Orefice, Avery Quinn, Suzanne Schatzie, Chris Warren, Tony Sanches, as seen at the Stress Factor, Comedy Cellar, Mohegan Sun, Carolines, Comic Strip Live, and now in Stratford!!! Tickets are $15 and are available in advance or at the door.

Monday November 13th from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Holy Name of Jesus Church 1950 Barnum Avenue, We ask for all those attending the drive-thru pantry to adhere to the following directions: park on College Street; Bring your own reusable bag; 1 bag of food per household.
